Tamil Padam 2 Movie Review

Spoof movies usually don't work for me. In English, I have watched few of the "Scary Movie" series, which were decent, few minutes of "Meet the Spartans" which I couldn't bear, and a few other. In Tamil, I've only heard of 2 such "spoof movies": Tamil Padam 1, and this one. Hence going into this movie, I was a bit skeptical, as to whether it will be a bit too much, or too many jokes would get irritating after a while. So how was Tamil Padam 2? Spiderman : Homecoming Movie Review

Guess what? This review has NO SPOILERS. Did you read that!? NO SPOILERS. So everyone can read without any problems! Yayyy! :) Spiderman Homecoming is Marvel's (Disney) attempt at the character of "Spiderman", that has already been done twice so far. It shows the events in Peter Parker's life after the events in Captain America : Civil War (so yeah you have to watch that before this), on how he manages his school life and being the "friendly neighbourhood Spiderman". Thankfully, it stands out as a different Spiderman movie, and not the same old "With great power comes great responsibility" and Uncle Ben getting shot and stuff. I feel the movie encapsulated the character of Spiderman quite well. It showed you that after all, Spider"man" was just a kid in a suit. He kept waiting for the call from the Avengers, but he was just a kid with no experience! He needed to prove he was worthy of an Avenger! He had to show that he was something...

Aayirathil Oruvan (2010) Movie Review

There are films that you really like, but forget over the course of time due to the multitude of movies you watch after that. But there are some great movies, that stay with you, that have such a deep impact on your heart & soul that it never leaves you. Aaiyrathil Oruvan (2010) is one of such movies for me.  Deeply rooted in an era that marked the origin of Tamil civilization, tackling genres like history, adventure, drama & action, Aayirathil Oruvan was a monumental project by writer-director Selvaraghavan & his team, done on a budget of Rs. 32 crores ($7m, yes you read that right), with 2000 junior artists involved in makeup, costume design & VFX, lot of effort spent on building & erecting the sets, music composer pouring his heart & soul into his songs.
