Iron Fist Season 1 Review

Hey everyone! So far I have posted reviews of movies and shows that I really liked. Here starts my first negative review of a show that I absolutely did not like due to many reasons. Not everything is good, you see. (SPOILER Alert, as usual. A swear word will be there on a picture attached below. Just thought of letting everyone know) Marvel's Netflix series have been a bit of a mixed bag so far. Daredevil was simply thrilling, the action scenes were realistic, engaging and beautifully shot, the storylines were really interesting and the villains were complex and superb. If anyone asks who are Marvel's best villains (which is very tough to answer, sadly), the common answer you would hear is Loki, but I would add to it "Kilgrave". The stuff with the Hand towards the end of Season 2 (child zombies?) and Blacksmith stuff with the Punisher was kinda weird though. Jessica Jones was simply boring. It had nothing to make us care for Jessica, when she is so careless ...

Wonder Woman Movie Review

So here we are in 2017! Audience and critics alike still criticizing DC for not being able to make a solid movie in the right tone, without studio interventions etc. Well, they can all watch this fantastic movie called Wonder Woman (2017) and finally bring back their hopes in the DC Movie Universe or DC Cinematic Universe :) (SPOILERS follow) Wonder Woman is a marvelous movie, that has finally revived the DCCU, and made it for a fun, "multiple-times watchable" movie experience. (I'm not including Christopher Nolan's the Dark Knight trilogy, as that's just on a whole different level above all this!). Gal Gadot proved all her naysayers wrong, and was absolutely amazing in this movie (I mean her acting and her role, obviously :P). Jokes apart, this was a well-directed, beautifully shot, properly edited movie. The drastic effects of war, the spirit of women empowerment, the visual effects, story, the colors (Yes this movie has some colorful imagery for differ...

Papanasam Movie Review

Hello all. This is my first review of a Tamil film, called "Papanasam", which could probably be one of the most different, interesting and a wonderful Tamil film I've seen in quite sometime. In my opinion, a movie should be seen in its original language, or if you don't understand the original language, then in whatever language you understand. Papanasam is a remake of the original Malayalam film called Drishyam. There was also a Hindi version of this which was released long after Papanasam released. So despite there being all these versions, I decided to see the Tamil version, as I don't understand Malayalam :P. (SPOILERS follow) This was a really good and thrilling film. The acting by Kamal Hassan and Gautami was simply brilliant. Kamal Sir always always puts in his full dedication and effort whenever he plays any character, and this movie is one such prime example of it. So moving on to some intricate details: The initial setup to familiarize us with ...

Arrow Season 5 Review

Here is my first review. A review of a TV show that I absolutely love right now, thanks to this season. (And being it the first, this may be a bit lengthy and I may go a bit off the track. So please bear with me.) :) (Also, SPOILERS, obviously.) Wow. What a fantastic season. Who would have thought Arrow could recover after that horrible mess of a Season 4. I had absolutely zero hopes going into this season; and my oh my was I absolutely blown away! This Season seemed to have been crafted quite nicely. What really fascinated me this season was how good and interesting each episode was. Less of Olicity (reasons which I will mention in another post later on), more focus on the Green Arrow aspect, better choreographed fight scenes, interesting storylines (some of the side character arcs to be mentioned - Thea, Quentin, Rene), and a villain who as a character and the actor who performed it will always remain in my mind as one of the best superhero villains ever.  Lets...
